A truly modernist expression; the Spaghetti chair is a feat of structural engineering reminiscent of the Bauhaus movement; although its inception by Giandomenico Belotti was unintended in this regard and in fact, quite contrary to Bauhaus. Rather, its origin lies in l’Architettura Razionale – Italian Rationalism – a movement that concerned itself with adapting a reduced amount of standard forms.
